The all new GOMACO GP3 slipform paver has been a success on projects around the world since it was introduced two years ago. The paver's ability to slipform widths up to 30 feet (9.1 m) has made it a versatile and necessary paver on many projects. This year, at World of Concrete 2018, GOMACO announced the introduction of the two-track GP3 for contractors who prefer a two-track paver.
Putzmeister America, Inc. has unveiled its new .13 HPD Pump Cell, which will work with the brand-new 39Z-Meter Truck-Mounted Concrete Boom Pump. The BSA-grade pump kit is designed to be the highest-performing, longest-lasting pump cell on the market with a Rod Side output up to 180 yards3/hr (138 m3/hr), and Rod Side pressures of only 1,233 PSI (85 bar). It has been in development for a year, with 2,000 man-hours spent on its design.
Enerpac has supplied a Korean-based engineering company, KLES, with strand jacks for an innovative tower scaffolding system called SKYFFOLDING (Platform-supported Boiler-in-Furnace Scaffolding and Lifting System). The Enerpac HSL1507 strand jacks support and lift the pendant-type, scaffolding system, as it grows, providing a safer working environment than traditional scaffolding during power plant boiler furnace maintenance.
The first all new GP4 slipform paver was introduced last year at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2017. The paver shipped directly from the GOMACO booth to its new home in Arizona where it has been working ever since slipforming interstate and airport projects. The GP4's most recent project has been slipforming a new runway at the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport in Mesa, Arizona. Its paving passes are 37.5 feet (11.4 m) wide and 19 inches (483 mm) thick.
E-Z Drill offers a line of multi-gang slab-rider drills for accurate concrete drilling from an easily maneuverable machine. The compact frame design allows each drill to operate in a 4-foot patch while drilling to within 6 inches of a corner. The bits drill to a standard 18-inch depth, and each unit can be adjusted easily to drill into the center of a 24-inch slab. Contractors can adjust the gang spacing between 12 and 36 inches, with greater width settings available through custom orders.
Flexible enough to deliver high quality paving for both slab-on-grade and bridge applications, the Terex Bid-Well 3600 paver boasts a range of available features that deliver bonus-level smoothness and improved visibility during nighttime paving operations. The 3600 automatic roller paver on display in Terex booth C5172 during World of Concrete in Las Vegas, NV from January 23-26, 2018 demonstrates a number of options to meet virtually any paving application encountered by the contractor.
Aquajet Systems AB has introduced the Aqua Spine. The multi-modular system uses high-pressure water jets to precisely remove concrete from surfaces that may be inaccessible for Aqua Cutter robots, Aquajet's traditional hydrodemolition machines. Used for onshore and offshore construction as well as in conventional and nuclear power plants, the Aqua Spine brings the power of hydrodemolition to tight, small places.
The Commander II, GOMACO's two-track curb and gutter machine, is back and better than ever. The new Commander II introduction was announced at World of Concrete 2018. It features the simplicity of a two-track paver with GOMACO's exclusive and operator-friendly G+ digital control system. There are GOMACO owners who prefer the Commander II over any other paver. It's now back and features the new G+ technology.
Putzmeister will introduce the 39Z-Meter Multi Truck-Mounted Concrete Boom Pump, a brand-new design with three-in-one pumping capabilities. The unit comes equipped with a newly designed four-section Multi-Z boom and robust pedestal, a BSA-grade pump cell for high-pressure applications, and a placing boom that can either be permanent or detachable.
Schwing has added a new flagship model for 2018 that features the longest boom in the company's line. The new S 65 SX incorporates a five-section boom, with all five-inch pipeline for added benefits, while maintaining the versatility of their proven Overhead Roll and Fold design. In addition to providing 210'8" of vertical and 197'6" of horizontal reach, all 65SXs come standard with Schwing's EASy one-sided outrigger system, minimizing the footprint of the pump for set up on crowded jobsites. The Super X telescopic front outrigger spread is balanced with rear slewing outriggers, which centers the hopper when set up in EASy configurations.
